How
do I consign cattle?
Contact
the ProCattle office or a representative from the "contact
us" page. You can also download our consignment agreement from
the web site.
Is
ProCattle registered with the Packers and Stockyards?
Yes.
How
much is the selling commission?
We have
various commissons depending upon the type of sale.
$8.00 per
head for yearlings (600# and up)
$6.00 per head for calves (under 600#)
$10.00 per head for replacement animals (cows, bulls, bred hfrs,
open hfrs.)
8% on horses
How
will I know if my cattle are sold?
If a
buyer meets your asking price the cattle are immediately sold. The
listing on the web site will display a sold sign and you will be
notified.
How
can I accept a bid lower than by asking price?
Contact
a representative or the ProCattle office.
What
is the minimum number of head that I can sell?
We prefer
truckload lots (48-50,000#). We will, however, accept mixed loads,
(strs and hfrs).
Buyer FAQs
How
do I register as a buyer?
You
can start the buyer registration online by going to the "buyer
registration" link on the web site, or contact the office for
a buyer number and password.
How
do I place a bid?
Select
the lot that you wish to bid on and click the "Bid" button.
Follow the instructions from there.
How
long is my bid good?
Until
you are outbid by another buyer, or you choose to change or retract
your bid.
How
do I change or retract my bid?
Go back
to the listing and select the bid option. From here you can select
to lower your bid, raise your bid, or retract your bid.
How
will I know if my bid is accepted?
If your
bid meets the asking price, you are the new owner of the cattle
and your purchase will be confirmed by e-mail. If your bid is lower
then the asking price and the seller decides to accept it, you will
be contacted by a representative via e-mail or phone call.
When
can I bid on a set of cattle?
Anytime,
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Is
there a 10 lb. tolerance over base weight before slide starts?
No.
